Prevent Internet Explorer Window Closing

Have you ever found a computer that contains the profile of a company or in other forms of Web and is opened with Internet Explorer? But strangely, when you try to close Internet Explorer windows you do not succeed. When clicking the cross button on the right side of the window, Internet Explorer does not react. Access through the [File] > [Close] also can not turn off the Internet Explorer window. You can only spin on the Web you have open.

How can if you want to make it similar to the above? The trick is easy. Follow these steps:

  • Run Internet Explorer.
  • Right click the mouse on
  • toolbar, then click [Address Bar].
  • Click the right mouse button again and select [Standard Buttons].

  • Close Internet Explorer window.
  • Click [Start] > [Run ...]> gpedit.msc to run Group Policy.
  • In the Group Policy Editor window, go to the folder Local Computer Policy \ User Configuration \ Administrative Templates \ Windows Components \ Internet Explorer \ Browser menus \.
  • Double-click the File setting menu: Disable closing the browser and Explorer windows.
  • When the Properties window opens, select the option [Enabled] of the three options available.
  • Click [Apply]> [OK], then close the Group Policy window.

To test the success of the steps you have done, now you try to run Internet Explorer. See, the [Close] listed at the top right of the IE window can not be clicked, and if users are still trying to close the window through a button will appear an information saying that the key unusable. For additional information, this trick will also automatically be applied to Windows Explorer.
