Intel Introduces Fastest Desktop Processor in the world

Core i7-990X-Extreme-EditionIntel has started shipping six-core processor Intel Core i7-based Extreme Edition 990X Westmere, which is touted as the fastest desktop PC processor ever produced by Intel and is designed for PC gaming.

Intel said processor running at clock speeds of 3.64GHz and equipped oveclocking feature that allows users to manually increase the clock speed. The processor has a 12MB cache and draw 130 watts of electrical power.

In addition to manual overclocking, the processor also comes with a feature called Turbo Boost which can control the clock speeds up to 3.73GHz, depending on the power and performance required by an application.

Core i7-990X is the Xtreme product line of Intel's top desktop processor, which always competes with Advanced Micro Devices in delivering the best performing desktop processor.

PC manufacturers also announced a new gaming system in conjunction with the announcement of Intel processors. CyberPower Black Mamba introduce gaming desktops that use the Core i7-990X. The system is offered at a price of about $ 4,465, also comes with 12GB of DDR3 RAM, two NVIDIA GeForce graphics card GTX 590, a 64GB SSD and a 2TB hard drive, and Windows 7 operating system.
