prevent downloading files with a browser

one of the ways that bandwidth is not used to download files that are not important is to prevent downloading files. this should be done, because during the downloading process, bandwidth will be sucked and the result is browsing process became slow.
one way to prevent downloading files is to turn off the download feature in the browser. You can use this way :

  •  Run the "Policy Editor" by clicking START, RUN then type "gpedit.msc" and press enter












  • entry in the directory: Computer Policy Editor \ User Configuration \ Administrative templates \ Windows Components \ Internet Explorer \ Browser Menus \
   find key [Save this program to disk options] double-click















  • click enable to activate





















click OK, then close the window Group Policy Editor.
Now try to run your internet explorer. open the web site that provides a file to download, download the file. then the downloading process will be terminated
