view compressed file before download

compressed file formats, like .zip or .rar are popular file distribution format. with this format we can pack few files as one, so it will be easy to download. beside that the benefit of compressed files are the size of file become smaller than the original.

unfortunately, with this format we cannot see the content of the files before the files extracted or decompressed. especially when we have to download file from the internet. that's why many idly people use this file format to spread viruses, spam. worm and another harmful programs through the internet.

if you are mozilla firefox user, you can add firefox add-on to view the content of compressed files before you download it. the add-on called ArcView, it can be downloaded at : https://addons.mozilla.org/en-us/firefox/addon/5028 . or you can find it by search engine with the keyword ArcView.

after the install this add-on, when dill download the zip or rar files the ArcView will handle it by open the original files content. so you can see and choose which file will be download. or if you don't want to download the file you just open it by double clicking the file.
