s vista is quite fascinating operating system, but sometimes some of the features found in vista can reduce performance of a PC. Try some of these tips to improve the performance of your windows vista.Turn off Windows Defender.
Windows Defender real time protection will keep running despite being disabled, if you already have an antivirus, windows defender should this be disabled.
open control panel> Tools> Options> clear the option "Auto Start"
Turn off automatic disk defragmentation
always-on defragment feature is not too important and can cause a decrease in performance when running defrag. to turn off this feature
Start button> Computer> right click on drive C> tab "Tools"> click Defragment now.
on windows that appears, uncheck the "Run on a schedule. did on another drive if needed.
Turn off windows search indexing.
start button > my computer> on the General tab remove the "Index this drive for faster searching. do on another drive if needed.
Turn off Remote Differential Compression
from the control panel> choose classic view> Program features> turn windows features on and off, go to the bottom and remove the function "remote differential compression.
